Pressure Relief Valve

Having a relief pressure valve to your water heater is so important. Excessive pressure can damage the pipe and the internal parts of your water heater. Sometimes it can cause an explosion or fire. Having the right size pipe connected to the relief valve is another important part. When the set pressure is exceeded, the relief valve becomes the “path of least resistance” as the valve is forced open and a portion of the fluid is diverted through the auxiliary route. Very smart.
